A Vision for World Peace
NKT Festivals and Dharma Celebrations are held throughout the world each year and are part of a sublime vision for world peace expressed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition.
As Venerable Geshe-la says:
Only by creating peace within our own mind and helping others to do the same can we hope to achieve peace in this world.
Each year in the United States, there is a US Festival at the end of April and regional Dharma Celebrations held throughout the year. Regional Dharma Celebrations are hosted by Kadampa Centers within each region. The annual US National Festival and Dharma Celebrations offer a wonderful opportunity for people to gather together to receive practical, inspiring teachings and meet spiritual friends.
