Registration for the NEDC and on-site accommodation begins Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 12 noon EST.

You can register online (strongly recommended) or by calling the NEDC office. Due to the high quantity of registrations, we will not be able to register people over the phone on June 28th.

Full Celebration (September 1-4): $145

Or you can register for part of the Celebration. Daily rates are as follows:

Profits raised by the Festival are dedicated for public benefit to the International Temples Project and used for the development of the KMCs and Temple Projects throughout the world.

Meals

Celebration meals begin with dinner on Friday, September 1, and end with lunch on Monday, September 4.

Lunch and dinner are not included in the fees above. You can register separately for meals at $10/day.
Friday dinner and Monday lunch are $5 each. You can also select the “no meals” option. All meals are served on-site in a dining tent.  If you prefer not to purchase a meal ticket, a selection of snacks and light meals will be available at the World Peace Café. There is also a small deli (sandwiches) at Pete’s Country Store on Route 31 within walking distance of KMC NY.

All meals are vegetarian and may include wheat, egg, soy, and/or dairy products. We regret that it is not possible to provide for special diets during the Festival.

On-site Accommodations

There are limited on-site indoor accommodations available at KMC NY that may be booked online for the full Celebration only and on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. Partial Celebration bookings cannot be accepted. On-site indoor accommodation available is as follows:

Single room: $270 (full Celebration)
**Twin room (two single beds): $195 (full Celebration, per person)
**Double room (one queen sized bed): $390 (full Celebration, 2 people)
Shared room: $165 (full Celebration, per person, 6 people per room)
Dormitory: $105 (full Celebration, per person, 8-10 people per room) You will need to bring a sleeping bag and towel for this accommodation choice.

On-site Camping: $20 (per night, per person, unlimited camping space available) Please be prepared for variable weather and bring an appropriate waterproof tent, ground cloth and warm sleeping bag.

**Special instructions for booking twin or double rooms:
Twin room (two single beds): 
If you would like to share the twin room with a friend, please note: each person must book individually for the twin room. In the “special request” field, please specify the name of the person you would like to stay with. If no name is specified or the other person was not able to book the twin room due to it being sold out, we will put you with someone else who has booked a twin room.

Double room (one queen-sized bed): Since there is only one queen-sized bed in these rooms, these are booked by room and you select your own roommate. If you book for a double room, one person should book the room and then indicate the name of their roommate in the “special request” field. Note that your roommate will also need to register for the Celebration separately without accommodation and mention that they are sharing with you in the special request field on the registration form.

A breakfast buffet is included in on-site accommodation fees. Other meals and festival fees are charged separately.

There is limited parking at KMC New York.

KMC-sign-300x225Therefore we ask that everyone carpool as much as possible. To park onsite, you will need to have registered for a parking pass in advance, which can be done online when you register for the event.

Accessibility
Handicap parking passes are available if you hold a valid handicap permit. Please select the handicap permit option when you register.

Hotel Transport
Please note that there are no hotel shuttles for this event. You may wish to arrange a car pool with others attending the NEDC or book a taxi.

Taxi Service: The cost of a taxi from Matamoras, PA to KMC New York is approximately $20. Please reserve a taxi in advance.

Children are welcome at the NEDC, but must be with a responsible adult at all times. All children, even infants, must be registered. Please register each child individually.

During Teachings

There will be audio provided in the World Peace Café at the back of the Temple for parents with children. Due to the proximity to the Temple, children will be asked to keep noise to a minimum in this area.

Children may attend the empowerment and teachings if they can remain still and very quiet so as not to distract others. Please do not bring babies or young children into the meditations. Children who disrupt others will not be allowed to remain in the Temple.

Accommodations for Children
We regret that due to space limitations there are no on-site indoor accommodations available for children under the age of 16 at this event. Outdoor camping is available, provided a parent is camping too. Camping is $10 per night for children ages 4 to 15, and no charge for children 3 and under.

If you cancel on, or after, Friday September 1, no refunds are given if you cancel all or part of your Celebration. Exceptions may be made in circumstances such as sickness or bereavement; you should apply by e-mail to the Celebration Treasurer [email protected] within 2 weeks of the end of the Celebration.

Any non-refunded fees arising from cancellations are donated to the NKT-IKBU International Temples Project.

Everyone must register at least 24 hours before arrival

Your registration is only valid when accompanied by the 25% deposit. Your registration cannot be transferred to another person.

You will receive a letter confirming the details of your registration and payment: Please bring this with you to the Celebration. If you are not able to show your confirmation letter you will be required to show some form of photographic identification (e.g. passport, US drivers license) in order to register for the Celebration.

Refund Policy:

Celebration accommodation will be available both on-site at KMC NY, and off-site at local hotels and B&Bs. For more information on off-site accommodation, please select the “Off-site Accommodations” tab.

Register for onsite accommodation online with your Celebration fees. Please note – indoor accommodation onsite is limited and allocated on a first come/first serve basis. Indoor accommodation, except for double rooms, are booked per person for the entire Celebration.  Camping is available per person/per night. Camping onsite at KMC NY is unlimited and available for any number of nights. Please expect wet weather, and bring an appropriate tent, ground cloth and warm sleeping bag.

Special instructions for twin and double room bookings

Twin rooms: each person wishing to stay in a twin room together must book individually for the twin room. In the “special request” field, please specify the name of the person you would like to stay with. If no name is specified or the other person was not able to book the twin room due to it being sold out, we will put you with someone else who has booked a twin room.

Double rooms are booked by room and you select your own roommate. If you book for a double room, one person should book the room and then indicate the name of their roommate in the special request field on the registration form.  Please note that your roommate will also need to register for the Celebration separately without accommodation and mention that they are sharing with you in the special request field on the registration form.

Celebration Meals: Breakfast is included in the accommodation cost if you are staying onsite. For lunch and dinner, you may register for meals when you register for the Festival, or select the ‘no meals’ option. All meals are served onsite in a dining marquee. If you prefer not to purchase a meal ticket, a selection of savory snacks will be available in the World Peace Café. There is also a small deli (sandwiches) within walking distance of KMC NY.

Children (under 16) are welcome to attend the Celebration but special conditions apply. Please read the information under the “Children” tab on this page before registering. We regret that due to limited availability of indoor accommodation, children may not stay onsite at KMC NY except if camping with at least one of the two responsible adults who are registered as their carers.

Special Needs: There are wheelchair-accessible toilet and shower facilities at KMC NY. Entry to the Temple and some accommodation is ramped, but KMC New York is a rustic property and we regreat that some roads, paths and areas are inaccessible to wheelchair users and others.

Parking: There is limited parking at KMC NY. Therefore we ask that everyone carpool as much as possible. Handicap parking passes are available if you hold a valid handicap permit and may be registered for online as well.
